Job Description

Brivo is hiring an early-career Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Bangalore to help build and maintain automated tests that keep its access control and video surveillance products reliable, working alongside developers and senior SDETs on test automation, regression coverage, and CI pipeline investigation.

Responsibilities

Write, execute, and maintain automated API tests using Playwright and Robot Framework
Review requirements and user stories; design and document test cases covering functional and non-functional scenarios
Execute manual exploratory testing on new features and convert repeatable checks into automated tests
Triage failing tests in CI/CD pipelines, distinguishing genuine defects from flaky/environment failures
Log clear, well-evidenced defects with reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots
Use Git for day-to-day version control: branching, pull requests, and code review feedback

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
0-2 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or software development
Working knowledge of at least one programming language, Python preferred
Exposure to an automation framework such as PyTest, Playwright, or Robot Framework
Understanding of REST API concepts (HTTP methods, status codes, JSON) and tools such as Postman
Familiarity with Git and basic branching workflows
