Job Description
Barclays is hiring a Test Engineer (Analyst level, BA4) in Pune (Pune and/or Chennai) to plan, design, execute and improve functional, non-functional, regression, automation, SIT and UAT testing activities, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and quality standards
Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools
Analyse requirements, participate in design discussions and contribute to acceptance criteria
Root cause analysis of defects, working closely with developers
Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality

Requirements
Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, API and automation testing
Automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, REST Assured, Karate, AutomatePro
Working knowledge of Java, Python or similar; understanding of BDD concepts
Awareness of CI/CD and DevOps practices (Jenkins); source control with Git, GitLab or Bitbucket
Test/defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, Xray, Zephyr, ServiceNow
Valued: banking/financial services domain, ISTQB or similar certifications
Automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, REST Assured, Karate, AutomatePro
