Job Description

Barclays is hiring a Software Engineer in Pune within Barclays Payments, Merchant Services, to spearhead the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines, harnessing technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure digital solutions.

Responsibilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements
Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
Implement effective unit testing practices for proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements

Strong knowledge in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Core Java, middle-tier technologies (JPA/Hibernate, Spring, unit testing, mocking frameworks, caching concepts)
Strong knowledge of tools like GitLab, SonarQube, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus
Strong knowledge of Web services (SOAP, REST, Microservices) with Spring
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring-JMS, Spring-Data
Valued: UI technologies (HTML, JSP, JavaScript, Angular JS, React JS), Nexus, Groovy
