Job Description
Barclays is hiring a Full Stack Developer in Pune within Barclays Payments, Merchant Services (Commercial Issuing). You will spearhead the evolution of Commercial Issuing domain products, driving innovation and operational excellence using GenAI, building and managing robust, scalable, and secure applications.
Responsibilities
Develop frontend and backend applications as a Full Stack Developer
Develop middleware/backend APIs and applications using Java and REST APIs with Spring Boot
Develop Java-based applications and APIs using Spring Framework: Core Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, ORM, JPA, Hibernate, unit testing
Develop microservices, schedulers, and standalone apps using Java/Spring Boot
Work with Kafka and MQ; apply standard coding practices and error/exception handling

Develop Java-based applications and APIs using Spring Framework: Core Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, ORM, JPA, Hibernate, unit testing

Requirements
Proficiency in developing frontend and backend applications as a Full Stack Developer
Hands-on Kafka and MQ experience
Good working knowledge of developing UI with React JS/Angular JS
Good working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases: MS-SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
Good working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab
Good working knowledge of code quality tools: SonarQube, Veracode, Maven, Gradle, Git
Good working knowledge of Agile development using Jira, Confluence
Valued: AWS, GenAI tools (Claude, Git Duo), nice-to-have Python
Hands-on Kafka and MQ experience
Good working knowledge of developing UI with React JS/Angular JS
