Job Description
Qualys is hiring an early-career Site Reliability Engineer (0-3 years) for its Cloud Platform in Pune. The SRE ensures the reliability, scalability, performance and operational excellence of Qualys platforms, applying automation, observability and troubleshooting to keep production systems highly available.
Responsibilities
Monitor production applications, infrastructure and distributed systems; participate in incident response, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Support operation and monitoring of Apache Spark workloads and Kafka pipelines
Assist with Kubernetes deployments, monitoring and troubleshooting; support cloud environments (AWS, OCI, GCP)
Monitor with Prometheus and Grafana; create dashboards and alerts
Develop scripts and automation in Python, Bash or Go; support CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
Participate in on-call rotations; maintain runbooks and documentation

Requirements
0-3 years in SRE, DevOps, Cloud or Systems Engineering; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix, networking and system troubleshooting
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized applications; Apache Spark, Kafka or similar
Scripting fundamentals in Python, Bash, Go, Java or Scala; basic SQL
Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana; basic understanding of AWS, OCI or GCP
Preferred: Delta Lake, S3, CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub, ELK, Splunk
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix, networking and system troubleshooting
