Job Description

Virtusa is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Pune to build a unified financial risk and scenario-generation platform for a banking client. The role centers on Python/PySpark development with strong analytical and financial risk-modeling skills, plus some exposure to React/Angular front-end work.

Responsibilities

Build scalable, modular infrastructure for a unified scenario-generation and risk-aggregation platform
Develop backend logic in Python and PySpark for financial risk modeling
Write and optimize SQL queries for large-scale financial datasets
Contribute to front-end UI development using React or Angular as needed

Requirements

6+ years of experience in Python/PySpark development
Strong proficiency in SQL and financial risk analytics
Solid algorithmic and analytical problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of React or Angular for UI development
