Job Description
Apple's IS&T Sales and Operations Engineering team is hiring a Junior Application Support & Site Reliability Engineer in Bengaluru to keep mission-critical applications running reliably, triaging production incidents and debugging application, database, and performance bottlenecks to root cause.
Responsibilities
Monitor health, performance, and capacity of mission-critical applications across multi-region environments
Act as a first-line responder to production alerts, outages, and system anomalies, including on-call rotations
Investigate and debug complex application, core system, network, and performance bottlenecks to resolution
Perform database-level troubleshooting and performance tuning across PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, and MySQL
Build and refine telemetry dashboards, log aggregations, and alerting rules using Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace
Develop scripts and tools (Python, Bash) to automate repetitive operational tasks
Act as a first-line responder to production alerts, outages, and system anomalies, including on-call rotations

Requirements
1-2 years of experience in Application Production Support, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or SRE
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix internals (filesystems, process management, networking, systemd)
Programming/debugging exposure in Java and Python, with familiarity with Maven, Gradle
Strong debugging and querying skills with PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, and MySQL
Hands-on exposure to observability platforms (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace)
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Preferred: Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, Ansible or Terraform
