Job Description
Apple is hiring a Web Accessibility Engineer in Bengaluru to join its IS&T Accessibility Center of Excellence (CoE) team, promoting and embedding accessibility into customer and employee-facing digital services, apps, and websites across Apple.
Responsibilities
Perform accessibility evaluations of web applications and document findings clearly
Contribute actionable remediation recommendations under guidance of senior team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and engineering throughout the project lifecycle
Support accessibility reviews to help ensure inclusive experiences are built into products from the ground up
Contribute to the team's accessibility training materials, tooling, and standards

Requirements
0-2 years of experience in web accessibility and front-end engineering
Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with WCAG 2.x guidelines and WAI-ARIA specifications
Experience testing with assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, JAWS, or NVDA
Ability to identify and contribute accessible code fixes
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent practical experience
Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
