Job Description
Cisco's Data & Analytics team is hiring a Software Engineer in Bangalore to build high-performance full-stack applications for its enterprise analytics platform. The role covers backend services in Python and Java, along with scalable React-based UI development.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and Java (Spring Boot)
Define API contracts, validation logic, and error-handling standards
Develop secure backend solutions using OAuth 2.0 and JWT
Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4-8 years of professional backend software development experience
Strong programming proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and Java (Spring Boot/MVC)
Proven experience building scalable UI applications with React (Redux or React Query)
Experience with SQL/relational databases and source control (Git)
