Job Description
Mastercard is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Pune. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will own tasks at the application/software component level, troubleshoot and refactor existing code, and adopt new languages and architecture patterns as needed, working within Mastercard's global technology and payments organization.
Responsibilities
Own tasks (development, test, deployment) at an application/software component level
Troubleshoot and refactor existing code
Adopt new languages and architecture patterns needed for the work
Influence decisions made by the team
Participate in elaboration, prioritization, and effort estimation with peers
Help and assist peers and other team members

Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field
Hands-on knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices (REST API), and SQL queries
Understanding of basic design patterns and requirement analysis
Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Delivery (CD) concepts, automation, pipelines, and virtualization
Experience working in an Agile environment, with TDD and BDD practices
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
Hands-on knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices (REST API), and SQL queries
Understanding of basic design patterns and requirement analysis
