Job Description
Honeywell is hiring an Embedded Engineer I in Bangalore within its Industrial Safety Engineering group, developing advanced embedded, FPGA-enabled signal acquisition and control systems for safety-critical gas and flame detection products, including laser driver development and laser spectroscopy work.
Responsibilities
Participate in development of embedded software and systems meeting functional safety requirements
Design and implement new features in embedded platforms across the full software development lifecycle
Develop and execute test plans for embedded software: unit, integration, and system tests
Develop and validate FPGA-based interfaces and processing blocks for high-speed sensor data capture and real-time signal processing
Support laser driver development: current/temperature control interfaces, modulation control, protection features, calibration
Design and implement new features in embedded platforms across the full software development lifecycle

Requirements
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, 0-3 years of experience with inclination towards embedded system design and control systems
Proficiency and hands-on experience in C, Python, or C++ programming
Experience in firmware development for Cortex M3/M4 and ARM V7 on cross compilers (IAR Embedded Workbench, Eclipse, MPLAB)
Proficient with wired communication protocols: SPI, I2C, WDT, TIMER
Ability to statistically analyze data with MS Excel/MATLAB/Minitab
Knowledge of FPGA-based data acquisition and hands-on exposure to VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog is an added advantage
Proficiency and hands-on experience in C, Python, or C++ programming
