Job Description
Zscaler is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer (Backend - Java/API) in Mohali to join its core API team, driving high-performance API design, building robust microservices, and shaping long-term system architecture.
Responsibilities
Design and develop high-quality, performant, scalable, reusable, extensible, secure, and reliable APIs
Write microservices, extend in-house APIs, and develop client-side code interacting with internal and external APIs
Partner closely with front-end engineering teams to build robust endpoints for high-performing interfaces
Champion a DevOps mindset across CI, infrastructure provisioning, automated deployment, and testing
Drive strategic technical contributions including system design and architectural governance
Write microservices, extend in-house APIs, and develop client-side code interacting with internal and external APIs

Requirements
5+ years of hands-on software application development experience building production-grade software
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, or Quarkus Framework
Proven expertise in building distributed, cloud-native applications focused on high availability and scalability
Deep experience with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) hosted on AWS or GCP
Proven ability to adapt quickly and work independently within a fast-paced Agile environment
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, or Quarkus Framework
Proven expertise in building distributed, cloud-native applications focused on high availability and scalability
Deep experience with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) hosted on AWS or GCP
Proven ability to adapt quickly and work independently within a fast-paced Agile environment
